I just love the personal, authentic connections I’ve made while turning my long term hobby—raising farm animals and creating products—into my second career. 

My business seems to be growing in the most wonderful way…one really nice person at a time.

One of those people is Suzanne. She’s a school nurse, who raises goats and sheep herself, and met me in October while attending my talk “How to Start a Fiber Farm” at the Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival.  We met again when she came to our farm for a Barn Visit on a very chilly Christmas Eve. We ended up having so much fun chatting, that the one hour visit lasted almost 2 hours. Her stories about her students were priceless; she has a few that regularly stop by her office to use her Wiggly Goat Farm lotion and critique my products. She says, “children always tell it like it is”. Of course I sent her home with extra lotion for the kids to use!

I wanted to share some of her comments with you…

“I loved seeing your farm and meeting you both. You answered some of my most concerning questions about the care and feeding of older animals…everyone seems to forget about them. It was actually your philosophy of raising your animals when you were a speaker @ Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival in October that inspired me to be brave enough to book a farm tour. I’m still a newbie but you both affirmed that I am doing a lot of things right. 

I wish you all the best in 2025 and I’m sure I’ll run into you sometime during the year, including stopping at your new store when my latest blackberry sage jar runs out!
